HIPPO WILD FEAST LIVE for Channel 4

An award winning, live streamed event from the banks of the Luangwa River in Zambia produced by Rebecca Bangay, iBex Media. Over a week, remotely operated cameras witnessed the consumption of two million calories of dead hippo streamed 23/7 as experts commented on behaviour never seen before. Live web updates, rich social media and a live link to Channel 4 TV followed by a daily live show engaged a captivated audience.

SENSESCAPES - Rebecca Bangay from iBex Media was invited to join a team from Bristol to enter a hackathon hosted by Newcastle University. The competition brief was to come up with ideas and build a prototype in 24hours that would enhance the lives of people living with dementia. The team won with their multi-sensory experience based on a local landmark.

HYPER-REALITY - Rebecca was selected by the Bristol VR Lab to attend a Hackathon in Serbia funded by The British Council and hosted by Start-It in Belgrade. She joined content creators from Bristol and Serbia, and the team of four produced a stunning multi-sensory experience for the Oculus Rift in 48hours.

BVRL VR - The News Hackathon - A game for Oculus Rift created at this event hosted by the Bristol VR lab. A collaboration of three, including Producer Rebecca Bangay, created a humorous spin on how the news of the future might be presented integrated into a game environment.
