Rebecca has been working in the media industry for over 20 years as both a self-shooting filmmaker (for broadcast and VOD), and as a digital producer.

Photography has figured greatly in her career, with her stills used for publicity worldwide.

After 13 years at the BBC creating award winning digital content for high profile brands such as Blue Planet, Planet Earth and Frozen Planet, and producing live streamed events including Springwatch, she left to go freelance and set up iBex Media. She went on to produce the award winning live streamed event, Hippo Wild Feast Live for Tigress Productions (Endemol)/Channel 4, followed by Countdown to the Rains: Undercover for Tigress/BBC.

Always keen to innovate, she spent two years working in VR film production, partnering with Bristol University’s Digital Health Department developing experiences to help with dimentia, and transitioning the elderly into assisted living accommodation.

She returned to the BBC to work on David and the Giant Dinosaur 360 VR production, and iWonder projects. In 2020 she was recruited to work on the innovative series Prehistoric Planet for Apple TV+, which was a perfect match for her digital and TV filmmaking skills.

She was back behind the camera at BBC Studios as self-shooting ‘Making of’ producer for the recently launched The Secret Lives of Animals for Apple TV+.

Rebecca enjoys connecting likeminded digital creatives, collaborating with the amazing talent in Bristol's buzzing media community to deliver cracking multi-platform content.  Quality, audience engagement and delivery are key, but having fun in the process is paramount.

Hippo Wild Feast Live: Apart from a phenomenal amount of energy, Bex had the technical and editorial expertise to deliver a hugely ambitious and challenging piece of entertainment. She’s cool under pressure, has unequaled tenacity and above all has the good humour required to make these kind of projects work. She’s great!
